Save Credentials Options
Select one of the following options:
Disable save password : This value prevents user from saving password as
part of new query.
Reuse active credentials : This value allows a user to reuse sign
on credentials for as long as Host On-Demand is running in the JVM. The
credentials are only saved in memory and not written to the file system.
If a user has not been previously authenticated to this host, they will
be prompted the first time and then the credentials are saved in memory.
Subsequent connections to this same address use the credential values
and bypass the logon prompt. The credentials are stored by host address.
If one connection uses a host name and another connection uses a dotted
decimal address, these are considered seperate addresses. In order to
use this feature for other connections, such as an FTP connection, Telnet
connection or SSH connection, the destination addresses must match.
Save password : This value allows user to specify a default password and
allows users to save passwords in queries.
Password
Type the password required to connect to the specified database.
Lock (Host On-Demand administrator only)
Select Lock to prevent users from changing these default values. Users
will still be able to modify the corresponding fields, if present, when new
queries are generated if these options are locked. Only the default values
will be unchangeable.
To specify a different value:
In the SQL Wizard or the File Upload Wizard:
Click the Logon tab.
In the appropriate field, type in the value you want to use.
