Send Data to Host
To open the Send Data to Host window
from the session window of a 3270 Display session, 5250 Display session, or VT Display session,
click Actions > Transfer Data > Send Data to Host.
The Send Data to Host window allows you to use and manage File Upload statements.
If your Host On-Demand client is configured to do so,
you can perform the following actions:

Run an existing File Upload statement and view the results.

The remote database server to which you connect can be
on a different host than the host running your emulator session.

Modify and test a File Upload statement using the File Upload Wizard.

Create a new File Upload statement.
-
Delete an existing File Upload statement.
-
Import a File Upload statement from a file, or Export a File Upload statement to a file.
The Saved File Upload statements area lists the names of File Upload statements
currently available, either within the current session
or within your personal library.
Within the Saved File Upload statements area:

Click the + or - icon beside Current Session to expand or collapse this category.

Click the + or - icon beside Personal Library to expand or collapse this category.
Some of the options described below possibly do not appear
on your Send Data to Host window,
depending on how your Host On-Demand administrator
has configured your Host On-Demand client.
- Open

Click Open to open the currently selected File Upload statement
in the File Upload Wizard.
- Run
-
Click Run to run the currently selected File Upload statement.
- New
-
Click New to launch the File Upload Wizard
and create a new File Upload statement.
- Delete
-
Click Delete to delete the currently selected File Upload statement from
the current session or from your Personal Library.
A message prompts, "Are you sure?"
- Import
-
Click Import to read a File Upload statement from a file
and add it either to the current session or to your personal library.
Follow these steps:

In the Saved File Upload statements pane,
select either:

Current Session, to add the imported File Upload statement to your current session; or
-
Personal Library, to add the imported File Upload statement to your personal library.

Click Import.

In the Import window,
select a file containing a File Upload statement,
or type in the path and name of the file.

Click Open.
Only one File Upload statement is contained in a file.
The default file extension is .upl.
- Export

Click Export to store the selected File Upload statement into a file.
Only one File Upload statement is stored per file.
The default file extension is .upl.
