Disable Functions: File Transfer

The radio buttons on the File Transfer pane enable or disable file transfer functions for 3270 Display sessions and 5250 Display sessions, when the File Transfer type in the session properties is set to Host File Transfer.

Functions:

Receive Files from Host
Receive, or get, files from the host. Receive files from host appears on the Action > Transfer Files menu and on the toolbar in a 3270 or 5250 display session window, when the File Transfer Type is Host File Transfer.
Send Files to Host
Transfer, or send, files to the host. Send files to host appears on the Action menu > Transfer Files and the toolbar in a 3270 or 5250 display session window, when the File Transfer Type is Host File Transfer.
Change File Transfer Defaults
Changes the default values for text or binary send and receive options. It also set values for options such as transfer mode and the PC code page. File Transfer Defaults appears on the Action menu and the Edit > Preference menu in a 3270 or 5250 display session window.
Launch FTP Session
Launches an FTP session by clicking an icon on the host session toolbar and by selecting Actions > Transfer Files on the session menu.
Personal Transfer List Library
Allows users to work with file transfer lists located in a personal library on their workstations. When disabled, the personal library will not appear as a location option on any of the file transfer list management windows.

Settings:

Enabled
Enables the function for: The menu item, button, or toolbar icon for this function is added to the user interface of the client.
Disabled
Disables the function. The menu item, button, or toolbar icon for this function is removed from the user interface of the client.
Enable All
Enables all the functions listed on the current pane.
Disable All
Disables all the functions listed on the current pane.
Inherited (Enabled)
This setting, which is available only when you open the Disable Functions window from the Administration Utility, indicates that the currently selected user or group (such as User1) inherits the setting of the group to which it belongs, and that this setting is enabled in the group. For example, if you are editing the profile of User1, and you set Add Sessions to Inherited (Enabled) for User1, this indicates that User1 inherits the Add Sessions setting of the group to which it belongs, and that currently the group to which it belongs has Add Sessions set to Enabled.

Inherited (Disabled)
This setting, which is available only when you open the Disable Functions window from the Administration Utility, indicates that the currently selected user or group inherits the setting of the group to which it belongs, and that this setting is disabled in the group.
Inherit All
The currently selected user or group inherits all its settings from the group to which it belongs.
