You can change the functions, colors, and size of the popup keypad. You can also modify the number of popup keypads associated with a session, and the number of rows and columns in the popup keypad.
You can assign macros and keystroke functions to the popup keypads.
The different types of popup keypad customization options are available from the tree view displayed in the left column of the dialog. The bottom part of the screen displays the popup keypad currently being customized and changes are reflected on the display keypad immediately. The five types of customization options include the following:
Number of Pads
Expand the dropdown list to select the number of popup
keypads to associate with the session. The default is 2.
Size
Expand the dropdown list to select the number of rows and columns in the popup keypad.
The default is 4 rows and 2 columns.
Keystroke
Expand the dropdown list to select from Characters, Host Functions, and
Custom Functions to associate with a button on the popup keypad.
To associate an item to a keypad button, once a category has been chosen from the dropdown list, select a key function, and press the button on the popup keypad. The function is now mapped to that button, using the regular button label.
Macro
Select a predefined macro from the Macro List to associate with a button on
the popup keypad.
To associate a macro with a popup keypad button, select a Macro Location followed by a predefined macro in the Macro List, and press the button on the popup keypad. Macro parameters can optionally be specified. The macro function is now mapped to that button, using the macro name for the button label. If the name is too long, it can be truncated.
Color
You can change the color associated with many components of a popup
keypad. To customize the color of the components of a popup keypad, do
the following:
If you want to cancel the choices you have made and start again, push the Set to Defaults button; this returns the whole popup keypad to the default state. |
