Are you getting an error message about the level of your C Set ++ Runtime Library?
If you are attempting to install Host On-Demand on AIX and get an error message that says that the Host On-Demand installation has detected
that you do not have the correct level of the C Set ++ Runtime library installed for GSK to function properly, then you may be using an
older, unsupported version of the C Set ++ Runtime Library. Take the following steps to find out what version you have and upgrade to a newer version, if
necessary:
- Refer to AIX requirements in the Planning, Installing, and Configuring Host On-Demand guide to find
out the required versions of the C/C++ Runtime Libraries.
- Find out what version of the C Set ++ Runtime Library you are running by issuing the following command:
lslpp -l | grep xlC
- If you are running an older, unsupported version, take the following steps to update your C Set ++ Runtime Library:
- Download xlC.aix50.rte package from the URL in AIX.
- Start SMIT.
- Select SW Install and Maintenance.
- Select SW Install and Update.
- SW update with APAR.
