IPMonitor v1.0 for Java, normal mode
The IPMonitor v1.0 for Java, normal mode, is an applet that runs on the
Host On-Demand client, and collects trace information containing the session data
flowing between a client and a host.
The IPMonitor window displays:
- Host
- Identifies the host name, specified in the session properties, of the session
that IPMonitor is tracing. You can edit this field. To switch to another host
of the same session type, click Disconnect, type the new host name into the Host
field, then click Connect.
- Port
- Identifies the port, specified in the session properties, that the session is
using to communicate to the host. You can edit this field. To switch to another
port on the same host, click Disconnect, type the new port number into the Port
field, then click Connect.
- Connection Status
- Displays the status of the connection between the IPMonitor and the host.
Connection status is dynamically updated when you connect or disconnect the
session.
- Trace file
- Displays the name and directory location of the trace file, which is specified by
the
IPMonitor
parameter in the HTML file. You can edit this field.
- Start/Stop
- Starts or stops the IPMonitor trace.
- Connect/Disconnect
- Starts or stops the session between IPMonitor and the host, and the session
between the IPMonitor and the client.
- Save
- Saves the trace information to the listed trace file.
